Sarrià / Sant Gervasi
The old district of Sarrià - Sant Gervasi is the most residential neighbourhood of Barcelona. It retains a small-town feel that makes it a peaceful and charming residential area. Surrounded by green spaces, it climbs up the slopes of the Tibidabo Mountain covered with buildings including a science museum and recreational facilities.
Sarrià - Sant Gervasi is the main gateway to the city’s largest natural park, the Collserola Park. Being so close to this green space gives the district a residential and affluent quality with its many parks and leafy spots, combined with prestigious schools, health centres and business schools.
Sarrià, the nerve centre of the district, constitutes the old quarter. The high part of Barcelona has become an example of an urban model in which small traditional retailers live alongside avant-garde and technologically innovative ventures, where children can play in the open air and where the word “insecurity” is almost never heard.
